Gravity is Surprising

As usual, UCLA keeps on top of recent movies for their screenings. Last night, I finally got the chance to see Gravity. Not only was it a good movie, but I also appreciate the risks taken with Alfonso Cuaron making a movie like this. Thoughts inside.

New Comic and New Posting Style

So it occurred to me amidst studying around 2:00 AM this morning that I missed a day. It also got me to thinking that there's not enough news or updates for me to make a post every day. That being said, I will probably not blog some days. Either way, one new comic this week.

Short little post tonight, since I'm in the midst of studying for the numerous tests I have and projects due coming up on Tuesday. And this is coming off just probably the most dull and boring two weeks I've had in a long while. Read on for some more.

RoboCop is Full of Emotion

I'd say the remake of RoboCop is probably the first huge movie of 2014. It's definitely got a lot of action, but it also got a really good story that shows us what it really means to be human and corruption that occurs around us. Read on for some thoughts.

Darkman is Suspense and Action

My Darkman Blu-ray came in from Shout Factory yesterday, so me and my friends decided we'd watch it today. None of us had ever seen it, but it turns out it's a really awesome movie. More of my thoughts on the movie inside.

Lightning Returns Initial Thoughts

You could argue I've been waiting for a sequel to FFXIII-2 since February 2012... and I have. Lightning Returns is the ending to the FFXIII trilogy, and so far it's been pretty fun, but also very confusing and overwhelming! My initial thoughts for around 3 hours inside.

The Final Stretch

I feel like this past week has kind of been like an Olympic race, and that today is the final stretch of that race. You know, having to really just review materials and write and get better at things. There's a few personal things I need to touch on here.

Olympics are Underway

To say the very least, Sochi's opening ceremony was full of flash as those projections made for a pretty cool show. Technical difficulties aside, there was some Beijing-scale level stuff, and it was pretty fun. On to the games themselves, though.

Mobile Games are Addicting

First of all, this is just a terrible game that everyone, including me, have fallen into. It's addictive and infuriating, but like all mobile game trends, we'll fall into that abyss for a few months and then just fly off to something else. Let me discuss another mobile game as well.

Ender's Game was Unexpected

Last night, I got the chance to check out the sci-fi movie, Ender's Game, based on the novel of the same name, at school. It's totally not what I was expecting, and it was actually quite better than what I was hoping for. Some quick thoughts inside.

You read that right. It's a slow comic book week, so there's only one issue I'm picking up. In other news, it's going to be an extremely busy week preparing for tests, as a certain event is beginning this Thursday. Read on for a preview and other things.

The World of Gokaiger

First of all, yesterday was Mao Ichimichi's birthday, which pretty much ties into this post, as she was the yellow Sentai in this series. I've gotta say, one year later, watching Gokaiger was one of the most fun things I've ever decided to do. Let me briefly introduce you to this world.

Thoughts on I, Frankenstein

Sometimes you just need a break from work, stress, and super deep and complex dramas. I, Frankenstein provided me with an hour and thirty minutes of just that. It's a fun movie that accomplishes just being a big, fun action movie. Thoughts inside.
