New Comics for the Week
A couple of very exciting things are happening in comics this week, including Jae Lee's return to art in Batman/Superman, and a relaunched version of the Fantastic Four (stylized Fant4stic). And new Deadpool is always very exciting. Read on for some previews.
Batman/Superman #8
This is the first in a Worlds' Finest crossover called "First Contact." I don't read Worlds' Finest, but it's safe to say this book is already going to be awesome because of Jae Lee's incredible artwork. Just seeing him do the cover again is great. Brett Booth is a fantastic artist, but Jae Lee belongs on this book. USA today has a PREVIEW.
Talon #16
Sad to see Talon go, it's been a really fun series, but this is unfortunately the second-to-last issue. The plot's been resolved and now they're just doing little single-issue stories, but Talon will be remembered as a very awesome Batman Court of Owls spinoff. Multiversity has a PREVIEW.
Lois Lane #1 (One-Shot)
The new Lois Lane one-shot seems to be getting a lot of hype, so I may check it out later down the line. Bennet wrote the Joker's Daughter one-shot earlier on in the month, and completely changed the negative reception of that character into a positive reception; this comic will probably be really good. IGN has a PREVIEW.
Deadpool #24
I haven't got the chance to rad #23 yet, but it's waiting. I don't have a last issue to go off of, so I really don't know what to expect from this one. All I know is that it's Deadpool, so it'll probably be very funny and very crazy. Comic Vine has a PREVIEW.
Fantastic Four #1
Right on the heels of the new reboot cast, Fantastic Four relaunches under the All-New Marvel NOW line with some new red suits, and plenty of variant covers to go around. It might be worth your while to get the first issue of this, it seems like it'll be good, but I feel as though it's too early in a series to have everyone looking so terrified on the cover. I digress, Comic Book Resources has a PREVIEW.
That's all from me today!
