Agents of SHIELD is Crazy
Agents of SHIELD is the first TV series tie-in to the Marvel cinematic universe, and it's really cool. It's got a lot going for it, like its cast, as well as the expansion to the overall universe. Read on for some thoughts.
So it's no surprise that Agent Phil Coulson really isn't dead, and I think we're all oak with that. He's a really cool guy. Now he leads his own team of SHIELD agents who go up against some weird people and organizations in the first ten episodes of the series.
Skye can probably be considered the other main character. She's a hacker who joined up with Coulson's group and is in search of what happened to her parents. She's not the best agent, but one of the episodes in this first group has proven she can hold her own.
Next to her, are Fitz and Simmons, two younger members who specialize in the more scientific aspects of being a SHIELD agent, including weapons development, engineering, and life sciences. They've got a little development already and both have already proven their worth as SHIELD agents.
To the right of Coulson, is May. She's an expert in combat and generally quiet and to the point. We don't really know too much about her other than the fact that she's pretty deadly and had changed dramatically after saving some people.
And finally, to her right, is Ward, who serves as kind of a mentor for Skye. He's a black ops specialist and someone who'd really much rather work alone. Sometimes, though, he needs a team.
That's a really watered-down and simplistic description of the characters, but if I rambled on, the show wouldn't be much fun to watch. That being said, the show is very good so far. Aside from a few areas that need to be worked on, this show is very exciting and a worth edition to the Marvel universe.
The next half of the season starts up on Tuesday, where we learn some secrets about Coulson coming back. So if you want to start from the beginning, or just start on Tuesday night on ABC, at 8:00, I'd recommend you give Agents of SHIELD a try.
