This Week's New Comics

Holy Batman week, Batman! This week, DC is releasing Batman #27. Batman by Scott Snyder is in its Zero Year arc, and these are some of the best Batman stories ever told. Check in here for a preview and more.

Batman #27

Batman #27 is finally here. It feels like the wait has been longer for this one, and I think DC has changed Batman from a week 2 book to a week 4 book or something. Either way, this is continuing off #26, in which Batman is going up against Dr. Death, and Gotham City is in a complete blackout caused by the Riddler. Take a look at Greg Capullo's artwork with Danny Miki's coloring. It's really the best in comics.

The Batman comic truly is the best book out there right now. It doesn't get much better than the trio that does the writing, art, and coloring. Hell, everyone who works on this book needs to give themselves a round of applause. This is the third successive arc in which Batman gives me more enjoyment than any comic book around.

Harley Quinn #2

Harley Quinn is a weird, crazy, and fun comic. Do yourself a favor and check out the #0 issue, which transitions between a bunch of artists and is probably the most fun comic I've read in a long time. The actual series is also a lot of fun, too, and this issue features Poison Ivy as a guest character. There's not an actual site preview up now, but iBooks posted some pages. Here's one as a little teaser for you. Credit to GothamSpoilers who found the preview on iBooks. Check out his site for the rest of the preview. Gotham Spoilers

Check these out! And also, Marvel's getting ready to release a lot of new #1's in the coming months, so I might check some of those out. Anyway, these are the comics I'll be checking out this week.
