Finished DmC and Suburgatory Returns

Just a quick post today as a follow-up to some stuff I've recently posted. Tonight, I've finished a game and a show I love has returned for it's third season premiere. Read on for a few quick thoughts on each of them.

DmC Devil May Cry:

This is surprisingly a fun game. I kind of stopped using the main weapon when I unlocked new ones, and that ended up actually making the game harder for me. What could have been a five minute final boss turned into two hours because I stopped using the main weapon in the game. Protip: If you decide to go and play this game, make sure you also use the main weapon.

Aside from that gripe, the game was actually pretty fun. Not a huge fan of the story, but Vergil and Kat were cool. Dante was okay, but a little to "edgy." The whole game tried to be kind of edgy and that rarely worked for the story. One key highlight is a boss battle that takes place in a digital world.

I don't know where DmC is going to go from here, but I wouldn't have a problem with the sequel. If you're a member of PS+, pick it up for free this month, and if not, it's probably worth the $20 or so you'll find it for, now. I'll probably attempt getting 100% on it, but for now, it's time for a break from slaying demons.

Suburgatory:

The season three premiere reunited George and Tessa as Tessa's mother has once again, left. By the end of the episode, they're back and the old house, except now they have a dog that Sheila's been on the hunt for. Also, Lisa actually looks pretty good this season. The whole cast is funny, and while budget restraints have given some key people only minor roles this season, the main cast is still at their best.

I'd say a lot has changed, now that George and Tessa refuse to conform to the ways of the suburbs. It'll be interesting to see how Sheila reacts to this whole rebellion thing, as she's the crazy one who wants everything to be perfect. And she's also crazy because she kept shooting tranquilizer darts at anyone who dare opposed her in this episode.

Suburgatory is crazy. Definitely a must-watch. Check it out if you've got the time!
