Finals week is a tough one, but one that ultimately yields awesome rewards, like the new inFAMOUS game that comes out on Friday, a new mission for Snake, and of course, this week's comic books, including *All-New* Ghost Rider.

This Week's Comics

Every week with a new issue of Batman is a good week, and this week is going to be one of the best as the second chapter of Zero Year comes to a close with another oversized issue all drawn by Greg Capullo. Also there's JLA and Deadpool, reaching its 25th issue after only a year and three months.

Lightning Fast Update

Finals are approaching, and I've been hard at work and unfortunately not blogging, because that's a secondary thing. When spring break hits, the game coverage will hit even harder. That being said, I did play some Lightning this weekend. Among other things, which I'll cover in later posts.

In the midst of studying really hard and trying to balance that out with blogging, there hasn't been much time for fun, or news, but that'll never stop the weekly comic preview. Now with thoughts on the Oscars. Read on for both.

Gravity is Surprising

As usual, UCLA keeps on top of recent movies for their screenings. Last night, I finally got the chance to see Gravity. Not only was it a good movie, but I also appreciate the risks taken with Alfonso Cuaron making a movie like this. Thoughts inside.

New Comic and New Posting Style

So it occurred to me amidst studying around 2:00 AM this morning that I missed a day. It also got me to thinking that there's not enough news or updates for me to make a post every day. That being said, I will probably not blog some days. Either way, one new comic this week.

Can't Catch a Break

Short little post tonight, since I'm in the midst of studying for the numerous tests I have and projects due coming up on Tuesday. And this is coming off just probably the most dull and boring two weeks I've had in a long while. Read on for some more.

RoboCop is Full of Emotion

I'd say the remake of RoboCop is probably the first huge movie of 2014. It's definitely got a lot of action, but it also got a really good story that shows us what it really means to be human and corruption that occurs around us. Read on for some thoughts.

Darkman is Suspense and Action

My Darkman Blu-ray came in from Shout Factory yesterday, so me and my friends decided we'd watch it today. None of us had ever seen it, but it turns out it's a really awesome movie. More of my thoughts on the movie inside.

Lightning Returns Initial Thoughts

You could argue I've been waiting for a sequel to FFXIII-2 since February 2012... and I have. Lightning Returns is the ending to the FFXIII trilogy, and so far it's been pretty fun, but also very confusing and overwhelming! My initial thoughts for around 3 hours inside.

The Final Stretch

I feel like this past week has kind of been like an Olympic race, and that today is the final stretch of that race. You know, having to really just review materials and write and get better at things. There's a few personal things I need to touch on here.

Olympics are Underway

To say the very least, Sochi's opening ceremony was full of flash as those projections made for a pretty cool show. Technical difficulties aside, there was some Beijing-scale level stuff, and it was pretty fun. On to the games themselves, though.

Mobile Games are Addicting

First of all, this is just a terrible game that everyone, including me, have fallen into. It's addictive and infuriating, but like all mobile game trends, we'll fall into that abyss for a few months and then just fly off to something else. Let me discuss another mobile game as well.

Ender's Game was Unexpected

Last night, I got the chance to check out the sci-fi movie, Ender's Game, based on the novel of the same name, at school. It's totally not what I was expecting, and it was actually quite better than what I was hoping for. Some quick thoughts inside.

The World of Gokaiger

First of all, yesterday was Mao Ichimichi's birthday, which pretty much ties into this post, as she was the yellow Sentai in this series. I've gotta say, one year later, watching Gokaiger was one of the most fun things I've ever decided to do. Let me briefly introduce you to this world.

Thoughts on I, Frankenstein

Sometimes you just need a break from work, stress, and super deep and complex dramas. I, Frankenstein provided me with an hour and thirty minutes of just that. It's a fun movie that accomplishes just being a big, fun action movie. Thoughts inside.

Green Arrow: TV and Comics

Green Arrow has certainly been in a lot of awesome things lately. The new writing and artist pair for the comic took it from being among the worst, apparently, to one of the best DC has. Not only that, but the TV series has been continually awesome. Read on for some thoughts.

Introduction to Final Fantasy XIII

This post will serve as a sort of prelude to my coverage of the game, which starts on February 11th. The world of Final Fantasy XIII comes to a close this year, but the games in it have all been pretty cool. Fans will have their complaints, but that doesn't stop these games from being fun.

Some Thoughts on Space Dandy

Now that four episodes of the brand new anime, Space Dandy, have aired in the US, I'd figure it's time to give some early impressions for the show. I'll do this frequently for things I'm watching, starting with this. So far, it's been actually really awesome. Read on for more thoughts.

The Anime of SHAFT

If there's one anime studio that has come out with some of my favorite shows over the years, it's SHAFT. Here's a few examples of incredible shows that are pretty weird, but ultimately some of the best anime ever made. These shows are very popular and definitely not for everyone, but maybe you'll give them a shot!

You Should See Clone Wars

Don't be so quick to judge a CGI-animated Star Wars series. While the movie prequel was nothing to brag about, the show hit some masterful points throughout its five seasons, including a controversial return of Darth Maul. Let me try to explain why Clone Wars is so good.

Harsh College Times

It's week three of my second year of the quarter, and I've already got a midterm. Seems pretty weird, but I guess these science GE's I'm taking have weirdly-placed midterms. Today, allow me to briefly go over some stuff I've been doing in the real world.

Last time, it was an early screening of Saving Mr. Banks. This time, Tom Hanks, once more in Captain Phillips. Read on for some thoughts.
